Fold Form

When thinking of rhythm, movement is a word that directly comes to mind. To further this notion of movement in relation to rhythm and form, the associations of gestural movement, light refracture and kinetic movement as well as the link to music and its motion was made. Abstract gestural drawings inspired by instrumental music informed the design process, where shapes and lines were derived from these drawings.

Line expresses movement and leads the eye through the piece; with this idea in mind, organic line and from, repeated, was used to create the illusion of movement, as if the piece move synchronously with the wearer.
